Quintessentially Q by Pepper Winters

5.0

For me, reading is an escape. So I don't particularly get the appeal of reading "dark" books, those of abuse and especially of women treated as sex slaves and being owned. Yet, it seems that something about Pepper Winters' writing keeps drawing me in.

It honestly took me forever to finally read Tears of Tess but it only took me a few hours to conclude that Winters is a very talented writer. She further cemented herself as such with this follow-up. She was able to make something supposedly so horrible very tasteful for someone like me who wouldn't normally pick this to de-stress.

Quintessentially Q didn't give me a mindfuck, thank God - or too bad, depending on how you look at it - instead, it reminded me of a really cool Emo song. ;)
