i enjoyed the individual parts, but the book didn't work for me as a whole. the first and last parts are as good as the middle, but they don't all tie in together cohesively. i even went back to the beginning after finishing the book, and even knowing what came next the first part felt disjointed. but the writing itself is great--it's the editing that i feel could have been more rigorous.
