This one really nails atmosphere creating a hazy and dream like experience. Still quite sure what happened and what was real but thats half of why I loved it. Its ambiguity and surrealism in the best way. The writing is beautiful, lyrical, and quiet that lends the novel are real pesonal feeling. Its explores the common feelings of grief in an unstaisfied and denied life, of chopping off pieces of yourself to cater to loved ones and society, and self discovery through music.
