I’m too old to act like I don’t want to read erotica. Sorry. Birth control pills killed my sex drive and I’ve to jump start it somewhere, and novellas are perfect.

I read this in one sitting, and it was good. It was my introduction to the author and I’ll be reading more.

Booktok introduced me to this, under the basis of the spice being good and starring an older man/younger woman (he’s 50 and her age is never mentioned but its apparent she’s in her mid to late twenties) and a daddy kink. I’ve somewhat grown out of the daddy kink thing (I think the birth control pills shot that one down almost immediately), but older men is *chef’s kiss*.

Started out strong and stayed strong, love the holiday theme, pretty spicy (although I’m still not used to reading the c-word as though we’ve all agreed its alright to say. Stop it. Don’t let men think they can say the c-word.) but I just can’t give it five stars.

Four stars because the man’s name is Nick and for personal reasons reading ‘daddy Nick’ jumpstarts my fight or flight response with such a vigorous kick that I could not let myself fully enjoy it.
Also a dude named Josh? Dana, my first introduction to you is a book with two male characters with names of real life men who have traumatized me. Girl get it together (I’m joking sort of).

At the time of reading this I thought it was a one-off/standalone but apparently its a series, or at least there’s a second book, which, fine, I’ll read it. The characters were cute and seemed to have good chemistry despite this being an erotica novella that’s only 66 pages long. If you need something that can be read while you’re waiting for your doctor to finally come see you, this is a good choice.
