I’m not really sure what kind of review I can write about this book. I loved it to the core, and there is now a massive book hangover following me around for an undisclosed amount of time. It was gripping, the characters real and engaging, and full of that dark faerie tale magic that is found in the recesses of Holly Black’s imagination.
I feel devastated, and not entirely in a good way, yet I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Pick up Cruel Prince, then read The Wicked King if you dare, and then we’ll all band together to pressure our beloved author to surprise us with a release date of next week rather than next year. That’s all I want.
