I wanted to love this…but I very much didn’t. I’m glad I didn’t buy more volumes of this series before trying out the first one! 

The biggest issue I have with this manga…is the way Kasuga’s teeth are drawn. It gives me the biggest ick! Inherently, the premise of the series seems to lean heavily towards a feeder kink…and the repeated close-up of Kasuga’s teeth are not helping this series beat the allegations. This isn’t my first rodeo with a series that plays with the notion of that kink…but at least the other one didn’t have this straight-up oral fixation 💀

If the manga hadn’t had that, I would have genuinely enjoyed this! The food was drawn beautifully. I love the genuine love Nomoto has for cooking. I enjoyed seeing Nomoto and Kasuga go out shopping together and just seeming to enjoy each other’s company. I also personally really enjoyed Kasuga’s personality. Some may say she doesn’t have one, but I’ve met people like her before. She gives off a very “deadpan” vibe, but it’s just cause she’s chill. We don’t get a lot of female characters like her, so I thought that was a breath of fresh air!

However, I simply will not be continuing this series. What a bummer ☹️
