This reminded me of a lot of things.. the movie Hereditary, the book With A Blighted Touch, A Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires and a dash of Dead Eleven. 

For a YA horror novel, this is one of the best I’ve read. I think it was alittle too long but overall very enjoyable.
