This book shouldn't be for children, its very disturbing. A father figure who tries to marry a girl in his guardianship is messed up on so many levels. I would probably like how twisted it was, if I wasn't constantly reminded that this was meant for young audiences.

It's important to show hardship to youngsters but this book is just pessimistic and didn't need to be written.
