The blurb already mentions that the novel was inspired by the story of Pinocchio but I can definitely see some Wall-E and Frankenstein in it somewhere as well. Although it didn't quite move me in the way that Klune's other novels do, the story is still a fantastic and inspirational one. I would love to see the movie that comes out of this book.
