Beastie Boys Book by Adam Horovitz, Michael Diamond
5.0
This book is sort of all over the place in a very cool Beastie way. The last page of prose starts off, "Congratulations! You read the entire book. It probably wasn't easy, and it certainly wasn't quick. I wish I had a golden ticket or a prize that I could give you, but I don't."
By far, my favorite part of this book starts on pg 39. It is PAGES about tapes, making mixtapes, and how the youth of today don't appreciate their iPhone the way we would've. It manages to avoid the, "Get off my lawn!", "back in my day," feel and really focus on the physical process of making a mixtape.
