The first hundred pages or so kept the pages turning for me. After that, though, the book just lost me... the text was confusing, the mystery not so important (as in, some mysteries are the difference between life and death, and this just didn't feel that way), and the dialogue was not well written. I'm giving this a three-star rating because the beginning was worth it but the rest just wasn't.
