"Because the history of evolution is that life escapes all barriers. Life breaks free. Life expands to new territories. Painfully, perhaps even dangerously. But life finds a way."

This was a buddy read with @momsterreadsandreviews again and God, I loved every second of the book again, even though I have read it 3 times already 😂 Kiki and I also agree on at least 1 thing whole heartedly: Lex is a huge pain in the butt in the book! Also, starting the year with finishing my absolute favourite book is an amazing feeling!
I just love Michael Crichton's writing. He does a LOT of research to be as scientifically accurate as possible, he works together with a lot of people on his books and I love how deep he goes and how well he is in explaining painstaking scientific details, humanly, so everybody can understand it!
The edition I read was the Folio Society edition with extra drawings in them and it elevated the reading experience even more. Above all the little graphics and other computer screens etc (which I love), there were actual awesome drawings throughout the book, which made certain scenes more immersive?
Somewhere along this year, I'll read the Folio Society edition of The Lost world too and of course if you want, Kiki, you can join me in this adventure too? 😂
