The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma by Bessel van der Kolk

Took me months to read this, but I’m glad I took my time. Very informative. Not an easy read (both in the nature of its content and in the detailed brain science), but certainly a necessary one. I understand myself a bit more and and how a trauma-focused approach to addressing comorbid mental health issues can be far more effective and meaningful than medication alone in resolving problems that plague the human experience.
