Another absolutely delightful adventure from John Scalzi, this time featuring some very special cats, so bonus points for that. The set up is very classic Scalzi, with Charlie, the protagonist, going through a rough patch in life and ending up whisked away into a strange world that is wonderful, frightening and hilarious. Charlie has to find his feet in the supervillain business and while you might think you know where it's all going, there are some nice plot twists in the later chapters that I didn't see coming.
