I'm trying not to sound biased but this book is so good. It's so personal and I think if you've had a relative experiencing the same illness as Michelle's mother you're going to feel it even deeper.
The way this books shows the reality of dealing with loss and trying to fit in in a society that is so cruel and is constantly giving up on understanding you is portrayed so well. You can literally feel the pain and sadness through this book.
I admire the fact that Michelle wrote this book even if it's for herself only. It's good to have your memories written down, it's something you can come back to when the world is too loud and you can't keep up.
Overall, a unique book.
