I read the second book because I let the reviews on the last book convince me. Someone had said the first book was more like a set-up\build up for the second and they couldn't be more right. I saw the difference and growth in the writing and although I still think the dialogue is stilted and awkward at times, I can’t help but enjoy the story. There’s so much drama and the way the conflicts are set up sucks you in. I needed to see Odette’s growth and who was ratting them out.

I will say, we moved on from that tragedy toward the end really quickly. Gale and Odette didn't even talk about what happened and they both seemed to just move on. This is one example of the developmental issues I have a problem with. The story moves pretty quickly and there are times when you don’t get to sit with the characters as much as you’d like. Fingers crossed for more growth and drama in the third book.
