A Temple of the Holy Ghost by Flannery O'Connor

I read this because it was on a list of short stories about carnivals/circuses. I'm not into overly religious stories and this is very outdated so I was a little put off at the beginning, but I actually think the point was to be a little critical of people who would close down a traveling carnival because of something they believe goes against their religious principles. Even though God made them that way so what is bad about it? I like that it is from the perspective of a child who can evaluate all of this so critically and at the same time innocently.
