The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

MY THOUGHTS:
*Dreamy sigh* You guys, YOU GUYS! You need to read this book if you haven’t! It’s that type of book that you must own. Forever! *squees* I adored this book so very hard. It isn’t even funny. I think about it all the time. It’s on my too own book list. Because it’s a must have. No joke.
GOOD POINTS:
It’s a beautiful written love story. With magic. Who doesn’t love magic with love?! But in all seriousness though, it really was a beautiful love story. It was well written. I could not put this book down. It drew me, into a world of magic and strong characters. Celia to her horrible father to Marco who never had a family. To the girl who could band backwards and to the twins who wanted their home to stay. Each character was complex and so real. I was spellbound from the opening line “The circus arrives without warning.”. Just that line along had me in wonder.
I loved how it started to how it ended because she wrote it like you were there. Like you were watching the competition take place. And everything the characters went through, you felt it in your soul. I was tearing up, I was laughing and I was outrage. Most of all, I was in wonder. It was like nothing I read. The love between the characters to the love of Marco and Celia touched me so deeply. I could not get past how well she wrote all these life’s into the book.
The clock!! The dream clock. I want a clock like that in my own bedroom. My imagination clock. And the clock master. Bless his beautiful soul.
It was a fairy tale come true. “Like stepping into a fairy tale under a curtain of stars.”
And the ending….I still feel like I’m still there. Inside of the ice garden.
BAD POINTS:
It does go through the past to the now as you read. So sometimes it got a little confusing. But I think overall the book doesn’t have a lot of bad points for me at least. It was together for me. I mean, I won’t lie. It had a few eh parts. Like it started out slowly but once you got past that and into the story, you weren’t be able to stop.
All the characters had their buts, in the end I can see why they did. There was a reason she wrote them that way. And I think if she would have put a little bit more into them, it would have added more to the magic of the book.
OVERALL:
Come, come everyone far and wide. Step up into the magical of the night circus and watch as your dreams come true.
