Broken by Jenny Lawson
4.0
Type of read: Commuter Read.
What made me pick it up: I read 'Furiously Happy' in 2021 and have been in love with Lawson ever since. Her outlook on life and the way she's able to express so much what I think many of us feel. Additionally, the embracing of the crazy makes my crazy feel less crazy and I'm crazy about that. Make sense?
Overall rating: I'm going to start by saying that books by Jenny Lawson are not for everyone, but she is my people. For this OCD, GAD, overthinker who word vomits quite frequently whatever hair-brained idea or thought is going on in her head (appropriate or not), there was a sense of belonging with Lawson. I laughed, I cried, and I also felt fully and completely seen.
