The Book of Essie by Meghan MacLean Weir
5.0
This book was great. I was hooked from the start. I went back and forth on what I thought the end was going to be, and my first guess was right - but I liked that I went back and forth. It wasn’t predictable. The last 20 pages took a total theme turn that I really loved (but could see how others wouldn’t).
I thought the Liberty Bell side plot was a little repetitive. I liked that Essie had someone to relate to, but they could have just left it at that without the separate chapters going so in depth about Libertys story.
All around a worth while read!!
