Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy this as much as I did the first two books in this world. I still liked it, but it felt like it was missing something.

The beginning really sucked me in, but slowly lost me as it continued. I loved how they started off slow and I wish that their relationship had continued at that pace, but once she moved in, it felt like a speed run.

Oddly enough, Ari the Manipulator was somehow my favorite of the three? His plotting angered me, but his character felt the most fleshed out and interesting. Jasper was a close second. Emilia was on a 50/50 scale for me. I wish she’d had more character development. And I wish there were more moments with her mom.

The smut was spicy and fun. The snake anatomy was enjoyable and hot. Though, I could have done with a little less of it. I love smut, but I felt like their relationship could have used more of an emotional connection. I felt it with Jasper & Ari, but Emilia’s connection to them began to feel merely physical as the story progressed.

I’ll still be buying a physical copy of this & I can’t wait for the next one!
