I recieved the german version of this book as an arc which was amazing since I wanted to buy the english version because of all the good things I heard about this book. Honestly at first I thought I won‘t like it because it felt a little childish to me, like the whole story about Shara running away and leaving hints for them three to follow and find out where she is BUT I‘m pleasantly surprised with how the story turned out at the end. I didn‘t think I was going to like Shara‘s character because honestly the whole easter egg hunt was annoying af but she‘s such a complex character, which I really enjoyed. This book talks about queerness and the problems and issues this causes when you go to a really christian highschool that still values the outdated stuff like „homosexuality is a sin“ and all that bullshit. I still can‘t fathom that there are people out there that really think that shit, like for real, what the fuck? Anyway back to the book, I really enjoyed the second half of the book a lot. The first half, so the easter egg hunt that Shara orchestrated wasn‘t really my thing to be honest, I was annoyed and almost dnfed the book but then I remembered all the good things I heard about this book, so I kept reading and I‘m glad I did. I loved the story of Shara and Chloe as well as I love Smith and Rory. I got to say that Smith and Rory might be my favs, just saying.
