This was unexpectedly cute. It wasn’t the love story I came for but it was the one I stayed for.

Hades is an adorable caretaking Daddy who rescues puppies and makes you finish your dinner. Persephone is an independent woman who doesn’t need no man but actually does quite like being carried around like a damsel in distress.

I have realised I had the total wrong impression of this book going in. I was expecting the darkest of romance & the filthiest of smut. Something about the “dark romance” genre and the BDSM warnings. There were some light exhibitionist scenes every now & again, the occasional “yes sir” but on the whole it was fairly vanilla. The romance was sweet, bordering fluffy. That’s not a criticism. Cake is also vanilla, sweet & fluffy - who doesn’t love cake?
