Okay! I listened to this on audio and it was a quick read. I usually like a lot of Tessa Bailey’s stuff, and the premise of this was promising! The chemistry and anticipation leading up to when the MC’s finally bone was awesome. And while I wouldn’t have resolved the secrets and drama any differently, maybe I’ve just read too many books like this because it felt predictable but unsatisfying at the end. Not bad, and that’s not the book’s fault, I don’t think! If you haven’t read a lot of “mafia” romances, this might hit the mark for you!
