Such a beautifully written book!!! The book gives us such a nuanced story about race and micro-aggressions and white savior-ism. I really enjoyed how complex the characters and relationships were in this, and felt like it shed a light on acts of racism that maybe aren’t always talked about. ALSO, was such a wonderful coming of age story (coming into adulthood?) for an older audience which we don’t typically get outside of YA novels so that was a breath of fresh air. Fantastic debut novel I cannot wait to read more from Kiley Reid!!!
