The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner

3.0

The sum of all of this books parts were good, but not great. The thing it did best was lay out a world and a premise I was super intrigued by. Unfortunately, I found the middle portion of this book slow and repetitive. There wasn't enough new information from the day to day of watching them make their way toward what they were stealing to keep me truly invested in this otherwise short and quick-moving story. Gen was fine. Everyone was fine, but not really anything I felt strongly attached to. I listened to this on audio which seemed like a great format for this, especially when we were getting the bits of oral history.

This felt like an extended intro! I'll definitely move on to the next.
