It's a 10/10 audiobook with a great narrator and cool sound effects!
I loved Mars’ character. He’s funny, smart and persevering. He was truly the highlight of this book. I also enjoyed all the supernatural elements. The Honeys were interesting, but we didn’t spend enough time with them. The reveal was good, but I felt like it vilified all the adults. Though I can understand that from a teenager’s POV, I still wish there was more nuance in the text. The ending let me down. I want to be able to imagine what could happen if we spent more time with the characters. For me, the last moments were ephemeral because I thought: “What do they think will happen next?” and I would have loved to see how they went on.
Overall, it was an enjoyable read, and I recommend the audiobook!
