Cress by Marissa Meyer

adventurous tense fast-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? Plot
  • Strong character development? It's complicated
  • Loveable characters? No
  • Diverse cast of characters? Yes
  • Flaws of characters a main focus? Yes

3.5

Comparing it with the other two, this one had a lot of useless information and other stuff not needed. Cress was driving me mad, she was 20 but behaved like a 10 year old sometimes and it was driving me nuts tbh. But besides that, Cinder is such a badass that take bad decisions but because she wants to trust people, who needs saving? Who needs a prince to rescue a damsel in distress? When actually she’s the one the ends up saving you.

This one is definitely a 3.5.

And my dear Thorne, you made me laugh A LOT.

“Maybe there isn’t such a thing as fate. Maybe it’s just the opportunities we’re given, and what we do with them. I’m beginning to think that maybe great, epic romances don’t just happen. We have to make them ourselves.”And my dear Thorne, you made me laugh A LOT.
