My edition had a short Christie foreword explaining that this book was one of her favorites that she had written. It's great - you can feel the influence it has had on modern works (Knives Out, for example). The point-of-view is well chosen and the underlying mystery is nicely composed. I also like that it stands alone very well, I would recommend it to other people who want to read just one Christie book to see what it is all about.
