This was a strong first book in a fantasy romance series that I will be excited to continue! Colden was actually one of my favorite characters in the entire book. I was very meh about him at first, but by the end of the book I was like HE BETTER LIVE OR ELSE I RIOT. I do really like Alexus as well, but I thought it was *almost* a little insta-lovey so I am really looking forward to seeing his relationship with Raina develop in book 2. I am definitely hoping for lots of angst and pining
