Ngl, but I don't think I've ever been so dedicated to completing a book as I was with with The Spanish Love Deception. Where do I even start with this book honestly? I absolutely have no words to describe how high Aaron Blackford has made my already high standards skyrocket. I mean y'all, that man is perfection, literally!!!
Both Aaron and Lina own my heart right now. I grew so attached to them throughout the story that I had conflicted emotions towards the end - a part of me wanted to finish their story, but another more greedier part of me wanted to drag it out for as long as I could. Even so, I devoured it within a span 24 hours - even with an extremely busy schedule. Yes, as you can see, I was that addicted to TSLD.
Not so surprisingly, this book has shot up to my number one read of 2021. It's literally that good. The Spanish Love Deception is one of those books where I wish I could erase my memory and read it all over again as a a new book.
The smut was top tier. Yes, it took a long time to get to those steamy scenes - but besties, istg it's so worth the wait. The fact that it was an enemies to lovers (not really hardcore tho) had me eager to delve deeper and deeper into Aaron and Lina's story.
Elena Armas is officially my new fav author ( sorry CoHo and EK :( - I still love y'all very much tho!) and I cannot wait to read more of her work. I would totally totally recommend this book. Perfect for someone's who's looking for a feel good contemporary steamy romance. Perfect for anybody actually. Come to think of it, I don't think that anyone could not like this book ya know?
Anyways, I should probably stop now since this is def the longest review I've written to date lmao. Just drop everything and go read The Spanish Love Deception. It'll make your life a little bit brighter, I swear :))
