The Secret History by Donna Tartt
4.0
After reading such a beautiful piece of literature, I can not find myself forming words as they would seem so pale in comparison. I will just sum it up by saying that I will certainly revisit it multiple times in the future.
And though I’m not so impressed by the whole plot and especially the ending, this book deserves the highest mark just for its aesthetics and marvelously written characters, among other things.
And I knew it would be like this right from the beginning of the first chapter, as I also could heavily relate to Richard’s ‘fatal flaw’ such as ‘a morbid longing for the picturesque at all costs’. If you relate to the statement too, you have a great chance of very much enjoying this novel too. ❤️
