Only and Forever by Chloe Liese
5.0
Chloe Liese has managed to create such a beautiful series with various kinds of representation. Now that it’s over, i’m feeling all of the bittersweet feelings.
Viggo was the perfect Bergman to end this series with. He spoke about romance novels the exact way I feel about them - that there a way to understand the world around us, a way to feel something.
Beyond that, this book was a love letter to the beauty of life itself, in all it’s messy & complicated glory.
I adored Viggo & Lulaloo, the extreme slow burn of their story and how pure it felt.
I think there’s something so brave about characters who haven’t had the best models of love, but who still take the leap to be with someone.
There’s something to be said about wanting romance despite all of the risks and pain you can potentially go through. Lula’s character grapples with this and her journey towards accepting love was beautiful.
I also felt like being in Viggo’s head was like being in my own
The overthinking, the people pleasing and all of the feeling like you’re too much.. it felt all too familiar and that made the experience of reading this book that much better.
And what’s more? Lula learning about him and adapting her interactions accordingly was everything
