Nayra and the Djinn is a cute coming-of-age graphic novel about mending your friendship with a set of character designs and color palettes that remind me of the Steven Universe show. I like how the story about Nayra progresses, especially how she gradually comes out of her shell and gains respect from her respect, even when there's Marjan the Djinn who helps her. One thing that is highlighted for me is that some of the Islamic practices drawn in this novel feel so natural and normal; you see that it's there as part of their daily lives without seeing any token gesture at all.
