Y'all I actually enjoyed this way more than I expected! It's a pretty horrifying story and at first I was real uncomfortable but once I got used to everything I started to get really invested.
In no way shape or form does this justify Levana's actions but I think it gives her a little more depth and gives us as readers a better understanding of her and where she's coming from which I really appreciated. I just felt so sorry for her by the end of the book.
I also loved the more vivid view of what we hear about in the previous books, and seeing it all out into action instead of just vaguely talked about. I also really enjoyed seeing Luna for the first time really. We really get a better understanding of the people and culture and how everything runs and I really loved that. I think this will definitely give Winter more depth and I'm really looking forward to that!
When I finished this book I simultaneously was horrified, sad, amazed and more in love with the genius and amazingness of this series.
