Actually was really enjoying the first half of this book. More so than I thought I would, but as the story progressed it kind of just kept dragging on and on. Definitely see why people kept on saying it reads as if it's 600 pages because IT DOES, and it's only just 300.

Planning to read the 2nd book, despite it all, in hopes to get some answers here and maybe some better world building/ character writing but we will see.
