I usually don't rate DNF's but I made it over halfway before deciding I really didn't care enough to finish. Assuming you've read the first one, this book picks up where the first left off, except Elspeth isn't the main character. Actually, she's barely even in this?? And considering the major cliffhanger / plot twist at the end of the first book... well it really made this SOOO uninteresting. Because finding out what happened to Elspeth was like, the whole reason I wanted to read this.

But no, this book has multiple POVs and mostly follows Ionie, Elm and Raven (spelling? sorry I was on audio). If that is interesting to you, you'll probably enjoy this. But for me, it wasn't. PS, if someone wants to tell me how it ends, I still kinda want to know, just not enough to listen for 7 more hours lol

Update: I found ending spoilers here and I now feel 100% justified in both my rating and my DNFing of the book.
