It’s always hard for me to get fully invested into dark academia because it feels so far away and hard to relate to but I really enjoyed this! I think I also read this at the perfect time (living abroad and teaching a language where I am always thinking about translations). 

I especially appreciated all the connections to language, knowledge and colonialism. “Translation always involves sacrifices.”
