Devil in a Coma by Mark Lanegan
3.0
This was a relatively quick read. It’s interesting to read someone’s experience with a more severe case of COVID that involved a prolonged hospital stay. Lanegan weaves poems into his story, which would possibly have annoyed me in most instances, but the poems he included feel more raw and natural. I get the impression that the words flowed more freely when he wrote the poems versus telling his story. I know he has another memoir or two, and I’m sort of more intrigued to read them now that I’ve read this one, in part because he’s spent so much of his life making choices that have done more harm than good. Im curious to hear some of his more outrageous experiences.
