I felt like this book was let down by it's editing and publishing team. It needed some polish, some more love! It felt unfinished, like it was rushed to print like it didn't matter. The audiobook felt the same. The production level was so low, and my heart went out to the narrator. I can't help but feel that a St. Thomian author and a St. Thomian narrator getting shitty treatment is absolutely rooted in race and prejudice, despite Kacen Callender's noteriety in children's books.   I hope we are able to see more from this world and see how fuckin great it could be.
