ok, so this was amazing, and even better than the first book.

i absolutely adored all the character backstories we had. these characters all have had such interesting and tragic pasts that you can't really blame them for who and what they've become today. leigh bardugo's writing is incredible; i dream of being able to create backstories and weave dialogue like her.

like the first book, crooked kingdom was filled with twists and turns and all of it was very fast-paced and extremely entertaining. i fell in love with every single character, and more so with the world leigh bardugo has created. everything is just so interesting. i loved the ketterdam aesthetic, i loved the entire aesthetic and atmosphere of this book. just. AMAZING.
