Overall, I found this book to be super cute! It had some stakes, but I think if you’re wanting something more medium paced when it comes to monster romance books, this will be a good choice! 

Of course, with most books please check your triggers. 

I really enjoyed how the author explored healing after SA(yes this is at the beginning of the book, so please be careful) and what that looks like when looking to explore a new relationship. I felt like it was done with care. 

I think the part of this book that felt lacking to me when he came to Elspeth getting her revenge that it didn’t pan out well. It felt so rushed and it wasn’t satisfying. 

I did enjoy Aigred and Elspeths relationship. He really did do his best to take care of her while also coming to the realization that he didn’t want to be in his playboy ways more. 

It would have been a tad more fun if we had funnier banter or maybe a little more sass.
