(4.5) This is my second time reading this book and it was better than I remember. There are so many great parts to this story that you can’t help but find relatable (even though I’m definitely not rich or a “dog whisperer” on the run). We have this mother who loved her son but refused to properly acknowledge him, we have a girl who has been ignored by the masses and then we have their love story. I think they both have solid personalities but with quirks and variations to them so not to make them cardboard cut outs of cliche characters. I don’t want to spoil the book but if you want something that will make you laugh but also think just a little bit about life, I’d definitely recommend.
