Bride by Ali Hazelwood

Overhyped for sure, but not a bad read.
This book has to be the TAMEST shifter romance to exist! And to think that people were freaking out and calling it controversial lol
Honestly, it’s just a sweet romance, average writing, average plot. Average overall.
The fmc’s name is Misery. Yes, Misery. I still don’t understand that. So Misery is a vampire and sent to the humans as collateral, to keep the alliances. Once her time as collateral is done, her crap of a father sends her as collateral to the werewolves. That’s where our knotty friend enters the story.
Regular drama, expected tension and a little mystery.
I disliked the way the mystery was resolved by the villain explaining everything in the most boring chapter of the book. Infuriating and not very creative.
Oh and something I feel it’s important to note: Werewolve’s blood is green, so when they blush, their cheeks turn green. What is the actual hell?
Once thing I liked: Misery’s sense of humor. It made me laugh many times.
