It may have been because I started listening to Harry Potter read by Stephen Fry while I was listening to this but I just couldn't get into it. Or perhaps it was because there were too many unlikable characters and I didn't feel like reading another book about race issues in America so soon after Our Missing Hearts. It was also very slow.
