Ollie and the eclipse by Mike Connah

5.0

We just reread this again and it was just as enjoyable as the first time. This is definitely a keeper for our collection.

The story follow Ollie on the day of the Solar Eclipse. He wants absolutely nothing to do with it and doesn’t understand nor care for the excitement of seeing the moon and sun together.

We take a mini ride (reading ride) to there beach destination to view the he eclipse and along the way his parents never faltered in their attitude or excitement for sharing this moment with him. Oliie, on the other hand was dreading the event and just wanted to be home.

It’s safe to say that everything changed once they reached their location and the eclipse took place.

This book has great flow and rhymed throughout the pages and the illustrations were beautiful. Great for a kids mid-elementary aged and younger. It’s a quick bed time story or for those quick moments in the car ride or waiting rooms.
