The Places That Scare You: A Guide to Fearlessness in Difficult Times by Pema Chödrön

3.0

I don’t want to write a bad review of this book. I just didn’t enjoy it. It was kind of hard to follow, and I felt the author rambled. I am not sure who the audience was. I picked it up because Brené Brown had mentioned it in her works, and I love the way she thinks. This is not that. This is maybe a book for the more advanced practicing Buddhist, and probably for that specific line of Buddhism. I only know a little about Buddhism, and not much about the specific line the author talks about. I feel like I almost understood??? But the practices she mentions are maybe more advanced than a brief introduction can cover. You can tell the author cares though, and that she genuinely has overcome most of her worldly struggles this way.
