Catch-22 by Joseph Heller

5.0

The Harper Collins audiobook version is 20 hours long. (The last 45 minutes or so is a recording of Heller reading selections.) Difficult to get through if you’ve got children at home, since it’s definitely not a PG book, with plenty of gore and sexist dialogue. The larger overarching themes of pacifism and anti-nationalism require, at least, a complete reading of the text. The absurdity is easily accessible.
