A Trail Through Time by Jodi Taylor
4.0
One Sentence Summary: Max establishes herself in a parallel universe and deals with the various anomalies caused by herself and people from the current timeline.
Squeeworthy Bits: Peterson getting the bubonic plague. It's more fun than it sounds. MUCH more.
Points of Observation: Farrell 2.0 lacks the "I want to murder him now and bury his body" characteristics of Farrell 1.0, what with him not having called a distressed Max a whore and/or heartless bitch. Huge bar to clear I know. Nevertheless, he remains an unspectacular character who's only actively enjoyable when he's trading banter with Max. Barclay 2.0, to my utter mystification, remains obsessed with him. Also, as far as antagonists go, TI\ime Police > Ronan.
Verdict: Another fun installment of St.Mary's hijinks, made all the more palatable by the absence of Farrell 1.0 & Ronan from the picture.
