Someday I shall make my way through Colleen Hoover's whole backlist! Does she write anything that isn't solidly entertaining?
Auburn Reed has experienced love and loss in her young adult life. She happens upon the art gallery of artist Owen Gentry, who bases his paintings on the anonymous confessions submitted by strangers.
Their attraction is nearly immediate but as with all of Hoover's novels, the road to a relationship is neither easy or linear. As always there are layers of history and reveals to round out the story.
The amazing real-life artwork of Danny O'Connor to depict Owen's makes the book even more memorable.
